After a terrific response for his devotional YouTube channel, the music maestro, Padma Shri Suresh Wadkar, in collaboration with veteran singer Padma Wadkar and ace composer Shreyas Puranik, is back with Gajamukha – a divine composition invoking Lord Ganesha. For the auspicious festive celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, the melodious song has been set to serene voice by Suresh Wadkar, Padma Wadkar and Shreyas Puranik. The peppy song has been penned by Saaveri Verma and composed by Shreyas Puranik.
The song will be released under the Ajivasan Sounds label! From bhajans and abhangs to mantras, shabads and stotras, Padma Shri Suresh Wadkar is an International sensation for his enlightening Bhakti Sangeet! Elated to share about the making of the vibrant and energetic track, he assures that what’s different here is that the fans would see him in a different dimension altogether! “In music, you can never go wrong with musical styles. Everyone relates to some or the other style of composition. Gajamukha has a scope for mass appeal primarily due to a fabulous combination of beautiful melody and rhythmic energy,” he says while adding, “Gajamukha has a dance element to it which makes it also a liberating experience!” Veteran vocalist Padma Wadkar avers, “It is an exciting collaboration where young talent meets veterans’ right here in our Ajivasan academy!
Saaveri has given such amazing lyrics for Gajamukha and interestingly, the video was shot in our Ajivasan’s compound and you can also see our students in the video.” Composer Shreyas Puranik added, “We don’t begin anything without Ganpati’s blessings and his blessings have been such that I have had the fortune to make at least one song every year during Ganpati. I feel fortunate and grateful that I could do Gajamukha with my gurus Suresh ji and Padma ji. We just want our emotions and devotion towards Bappa to be on the screen visually and ear musically.”
