The highly anticipated film Kuch Sapney Apne premiered last night at PVR Citi Mall, Andheri West, in a grand event graced by renowned personalities from the film and entertainment industry. The premiere witnessed the presence of celebrated actors and influential figures, including Rajeshwari Sachdeva, Rajit Kapur, Sadia Siddique, Dolly Thakore, Sujata Mehta and Sushant Divgikar, along with the cast members of the film Mona Ambegaonkar, Shishir Sharma, Abhay Kulkarni, Satvik Bhatia and Arpit Chaudhary.
Director & writers Sridhar Rangayan, and co-director, writer and lyricist Saagar Gupta while welcoming the audience said this film has been made with a lot of love and labour, and it required a lot more efforts to get it a theatrical release.
The film explores the emotional and legal journey of a gay couple filing for a same-sex marriage petition. It has been described as ‘a rich emotional landscape where love, betrayal, and redemption intertwine.’
The audience at the premiere responded with overwhelming appreciation, lauding the film’s sensitive storytelling and compelling performances.
This romantic social drama features melodious songs by Vishal & Rekha Bhardwaj, Shaan, Shashwat Singh, and Sushant Divgikar.
The premiere was supported by Keshav Suri Foundation, a philanthropic organization that has been championing diversity and inclusivity.
Following the premiere, Kuch Sapney Apne has officially been released in 11 cities in India on February 21st. The film has recently received a UA 16+ certification, making it suitable for viewers aged 16 and above, further broadening its reach and impact.
