Singer Shaan and lyricist Aalok Shrivastav collaborate for Delhi’s educational theme song curated by Manish Sisodia

Singer Shaan and Sneha Shankar gives vocal to the lyrics of educational theme song of Delhi penned by lyricist Aalok Shrivastav which is titled ‘Irada Kar Liya Hai’ and the music is given by Dushyant Dubey. Delhi’s Education Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia gave birth to this idea of educational theme song which aims to teach actual sense of education and as well as the communal harmony, patriotism, and women empowerment among other life skills.

Manish Sisodia claims that Delhi’s education department is the first in the country, if not the globe, to have an education song.

Sharing about the same he says, “The song is not just a song, but rather a dream about Delhi. The song talks about why and what the education system of Delhi wants to teach students. My dear friend & noted poet Aalok Shrivastav gave words to our emotion and vision for Delhi Education and I’m very grateful for that. He has given words to not only Delhi’s vision but a worldwide vision for education. I’m very thankful to Shaan ans Sneha Shankar for giving birth to such a beautiful song and also Dushyant for this soulful music.”

Lyricist Aalok Shrivastav shares his joy stating, “This whole idea was curated by Manish Sisodia ji and he chose me to contribute towards this big vision hence I feel extremely humbled and honored. Shaan Da and Sneha giving their voice to it is like icing on the cake. My association with Dushyant has been since long time now. So I’m very grateful to all.”

Shaan shares, “The lyricist of the song has a strong social message and I’m thankful to Aalok Bhai for that. I feel happy for this opportunity that I could be a part of such a cause for the future generation of our country.”

The video has been created by Kajal Sharma and shot in government schools of Delhi with students from there. It got viral on social media after which it garnered accolades and appreciation from all over.
