Playback Singer Arpita Chakraborty, known for her songs Paisa Yeh Paisa (Total Dhamaal), Ras Ke Bhare Tore Nain (Satyagraha). Bezubaan Ishq and Lori of Death (Ragini MMS 2), and her single Makhmali is excited about her two major releases — the Abhishek Bachchan-starrer Big Bull and Pushkar Jog’s Well Done Baby. Both the projects are OTT releases.
Talking about the experience of working on The Big Bull, Arpita says, “The Big Bull has been directed by Kookie Gulati, whom I have worked with in the film Total Dhamaal. My Song Paisa Yeh Paisa, starring Madhuri Dixit Nene, Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgn was directed by him. Music director Sandeep Shirodkar wanted my voice for an extended version of the song Ishq Namaza, composed beautifully by Gourov Dasgupta. I had a wonderful time recording this beautiful melody.”
Well Done Baby is Arpita’s third Marathi film after Hu Tu Tu and Ti and Ti. “After the song Ghe Jaguni Tu from Ti and Ti, I was offered Halki Halki, a beautiful melody composed by Rohan Rohan, that features Marathi actors Pushkar Jog and Amruta Khanvilkar and veteran actor Vandana Gupte. My love for Marathi language and specially the beautiful lyrics and tune of this song, triggered my passion to sing it,” says the singer.
The Big Bull and Well Done Baby are set to release on April 8 and 9, on Disney Hotstar and Amazon Prime, respectively.
