Salman Khan’s much-anticipated action entertainer Sikandar is all set to become one of the biggest box office successes of 2025. After a thumping opening on its opening weekend, the film has now hit six days in cinemas and is nearing the ₹100 crore mark in India. While the initial week’s collections have been massive, the film has seen a diminishing daily collection — a phenomenon to be seen for post-Eid releases. On Day 6, it reported gaining ₹3.75 crore, and this puts the domestic collection at near ₹94 crore.
International Collections Power Sikandar Ahead
While India’s slowdown tightens its grip on its domestic economy, Sikandar is clocking strong business overseas. Searing numbers continue to flow from the Gulf, America, and portions of Europe, and now the worldwide gross crosses an eye-opening ₹178 crore. That positions the film firmly in a position to eclipse Ram Charan’s Game Changer, with its lifetime gross at about ₹186 crore across the world. As long as the momentum lasts into the weekend, Sikandar might break through that figure before long.
Comparisons with Other Biggies
Surprisingly enough, Sikandar has already outperformed other recent blockbusters like Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force and Tamil hit Dragon. Star power, mass action scenes, and festival timing have proved to be the winning combination for the film despite critics being divided over its story.
What’s Fueling the Hype?
AR Murugadoss directs Sikandar, in which Salman Khan plays the lead role, with Rashmika Mandanna as his co-star. The two actors worked together for the first time, and their chemistry on screen has been well-received. Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prateik Babbar join the supporting cast and give the film’s story depth.
Can It Go the Distance?
With one more weekend to drive collections, the talk is about whether Sikandar will be able to enter the select ₹200 crore club. The film’s robust brand value and Salman’s fan base ensure that it has a good shot at it. But with new movies in the pipeline, Sikandar will need to hold its ground to be the biggest blockbuster of the year in good earnest.
Wait and see—Salman Khan’s Sikandar can still pull a couple of tricks from its sleeve at the box office.
