Samantha Ruth Prabhu has spoken out about having rejected more than 15 brand endorsement deals, in spite of the large pay cheques attached, for health and ethical reasons. The actor, who has been a victim of myositis and constantly talks about wellness, adds that she doesn’t sign up to endorse it unless it’s a product she believes in—and is vetted by medical professionals.

‘I rejected brands worth crores,’ says Samantha

Addressing a wellness event last month, Samantha said, “There were a minimum of 15 brands that I let go. “I lost crores along the way. “But I cannot promote something I don’t support, or something that could possibly harm another person.” She underscored that, ever since her personal journey of wellness, her criteria for selecting endorsements have radically changed.

All products are now scrutinized by a panel of doctors.

In a daring gesture not often seen in the celebrity endorsement arena, Samantha revealed that she has assembled her own board of three doctors who vet every product she is pitched. “I now have three doctors—who I absolutely trust— who look over all the brands that I get pitched. “If they don’t make it past them, I don’t touch it,” she explained, noting that this process is crucial to her peace of mind and her viewers’ safety.

Fans praise her integrity and sense of responsibility.

Samantha’s confession gained popularity on social media soon enough, with fans and supporters praising her for prioritizing ethics over revenue. Most users posted comments stating that her choice serves as a benchmark in a field where stars endorse goods without proper research. This is why we respect Samantha. “She walks the talk,” a user posted on X.

Committed to genuineness and authenticity

The actress, having done both South Indian and Hindi cinema, reiterated that she feels hugely responsible to her fans. “People look up to me. “If I endorse something blindly, and it hurts someone, I can’t live with that,” she said.

Samantha’s career steps continue to reflect her growing priorities—not only as an actor, but as a public person interested in health, wellness, and thoughtfulness.

Decision-making.
