Mumbai: Befitting Bollywood’s never-ending stream of rumors and speculations, of late, one of the leading discussions doing the rounds was the fact that Salman Khan was to join the Rohit Shetty cop universe in Singham Again. However, these speculations have been put to rest as Salman Khan has been confirmed not to be a part of the movie.

The hype about Salman Khan possibly making it to Singham Again started with his appearance in Sooryavanshi, another cop universe film from Rohit Shetty and starring Akshay Kumar. Fans were speculating that one of Salman’s most popular characters from Dabangg, Chulbul Pandey, might make an entry into the sequel for Singham again because the franchise features Ajay Devgn playing the title role.
Well, recent reportage and statements from close sources on the production have put an end to the ruckus that Salman Khan’s Chulbul Pandey might be a part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.
Singham Again will take the focus on Ajay Devgn’s Bajirao Singham, one of the most iconic characters in Shetty’s cop universe, and will have plenty of action sequences and a gripping narrative as the other popular faces from the earlier films in the cop universe pop up to take their own bows. Ranveer Singh, who plays Simmba, and Akshay Kumar, Sooryavanshi, are expected to be part of the movie that will surely rise the stakes.
Why Chulbul Pandey, Salman Khan’s character, not included?
However, Salman Khan’s character may not be a part of the movie Singham Again for several reasons. One reason is that there should be the distinctness of the characters individually in the cop universe. Even though Dabangg’s Chulbul Pandey is an extremely lovable character, his inclusion in Singham Again may face a clash of personalities with Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi since each of these characters enjoys a unique space in the storyline.
