Actress Rukhsar Rehman is all set to share screen space with veteran actor Annu Kapoor in the upcoming film Uttar Da Puttar, which is currently being shot in Uttarakhand.
According to sources, Rukhsar will be seen portraying the role of Ginni, a woman who falls in love with her professor—15 years her senior—played by Annu Kapoor. The storyline follows their unconventional love story, which leads to marriage. Helmed by director Ravinder Siwach and produced by Sandip Kapur under the banner of Promodome Motion Pictures, Uttar Da Puttar explores the conflict between people’s faith in Vastu, astrology, and numerology, and their belief in hard work and determination. The film’s visual storytelling is being brought to life by renowned cinematographer Uday singh Mohite.
Rukhsar Rehman, known for her versatile performances across film, television, and web series, began her career opposite Aditya Panscholi in Yaad Rakhegi Duniya, followed by Inteha Pyar Ki with Rishi Kapoor. Over the years, she has appeared in notable films such as PK, Sarkar, and Uri: The Surgical Strike, along with television shows like Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and Tumhari Paakhi. She also made a mark in the digital space with her role in The Night Manager.
