New Delhi: The release of Kangana Ranaut’s much-awaited film ‘Emergency’ has suffered a major setback, as the film has not yet received a censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Due to this, the release of the film has been postponed indefinitely. Has gone.

The story of the film is based on the time of emergency imposed in India in 1975, and Kangana has played the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in it. Controversy started over this film after watching its trailer. Shiromani Akali Dal And some other organizations have accused the film of hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community. They have sent a legal notice to the CBFC demanding cancellation of the censor certificate of the film, due to which the release of the film has been stopped.

Kangana recently shared a video saying that the film had earlier received approval from the CBFC, but the censor certificate has been withheld due to several threats. She termed the situation as “unfortunate” for the country and urged the government to take action on the matter. I sought intervention.

The controversy over the film has grown so much that a criminal case has been registered against Kangana in Chandigarh for hurting religious sentiments. The film is being accused of portraying Jathedar Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale as a terrorist. Due to which there is deep anger in the Sikh community.

Kangana said that she will not back down despite threats and pressure and will make every possible effort to bring the film to the audience. No official announcement has been made yet about the new release date of ‘Emergency’.
