Actor Kunal Kapoor has teased a grand cinematic experience with Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated film Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Speaking to the media recently, Kapoor hinted that the film is being made on a scale that’s “never been attempted before” in Indian cinema, promising it will surprise the audience with its visual and emotional depth.

Kunal, playing a central part in the mythological epic as per reports, stressed that” Ramayana isn’t merely a film—it’s an event. This isn’t the usual film set with conventional storytelling. “From the looks to the acting, everything is planned to shift the audience into another time,” he said. He also revealed that a lot of research, dedication, and creativity has gone into the making of the film to ensure authenticity while also appealing to today’s audience.

Kapoor was particularly impressed with Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, whom he stated have gone all out to get into their characters. Ranbir’s self-control and body transformation are astounding. As per Kapoor, Ramayana combines cutting-edge technology with old-style storytelling. He called the sets gigantic and said the VFX work being undertaken is “game-changing.” The aim is to come up with a visual language that respects the sanctity of the epic while giving audiences a contemporary movie experience.

Although the team has not yet announced a release date officially, industry experts believe that Ramayana will be released in theaters some time in 2025. The word around the movie has been consistently building up, particularly after Ranbir’s look was leaked and went viral on social media, where he can be seen sporting a never-before-seen avatar.
