When the actress commented on the South Indian film industry’s penchant for navel and midriff shots, she faced a lot of backlash online. She later admitted that the things she said could have been twisted but the love that she had for Tollywood couldn’t be. “The Telugu film industry has always been vital for me. This is even known to my fans who love my movies. I always say I will never give in to misunderstandings but I will reinstate, I will forever be indebted to the Telugu film industry,” Pooja reportedly said in an interview.
