Payal Singhal launches her first ever Jewellery Line in collaboration with Sangeeta Boochra Jaipur

Known for her creative India modern collaborations and unique partnerships year after year, Designer Payal Singhal is proud to unveil her first collection of jewellery designed in collaboration with none other than the much celebrated Jaipur based Sangeeta Boochra, a label that comes from a lineage of creating heritage jewels since 1897, known for handcrafted jewellery made by the master craftsmen of India.

‘Payal Singhal x Sangeeta Boochra’ was launched over an immersive showcase at the newly erected cabanas within the cool air-conditioned precincts of Gallops Alfresco at MRC Mumbai.

Much like Payal Singhal’s brand DNA of approaching tradition with a renewed contemporary outlook, brand Sangeeta Boochra mirrors this distinct design language which is a blend of rustic bohemia and the luxurious elements of Indian heritage.

Titled ‘Zaiwar’, the collection uses kundan, silver and inlay work pieces to design a line of contemporary, elevated everyday jewels for the #PSGirl. Each design from this 50-piece capsule line is a marriage of something old, with something new — an aesthetic that both brands resonate. The design thought behind the collection was to allow present-day connoisseurs to wear their heritage on their sleeve every day from work to brunch to cocktail evenings and travel!

“I’m happy to present ‘Zaiwar’ with Sangeeta Boochra as we both have researched different techniques and crafts from across India as well as the expertise of our artisans to fuse our like-minded design philosophy to create this jewellery line which is versatile while being an ode to our heritage.” — Payal Singhal
“We were looking for the perfect amalgamation of the old and the new, that perfect blend of traditional and contemporary. Designs that could go on to tell tales of heritage yet be a part of the modern design aesthetic. Payal has a unique design sensibility of infusing traditional techniques with modern Indian wear. So, together the two brands have brought forward for you pieces that could go on to be heirlooms. During Mughal Era gold inlay work was specifically done on gemstones like margaz or emeralds, we have tried to achieve the gold quality and finish with silver, handcrafted by the master craftsmen and gold artisans from India.” – Abhineet & Riteek Boochra
At the unveiling evening, guests enjoyed the jewellery displays and experience zones under the cabanas and fairy lights at Gallops Alfresco while mango bellinis and a summer menu of appetizers lent a perfect summery vibe to the evening.

The 50 piece collection encompasses everything you need to complete your complete look – Find silver handcrafted Necklaces, Chokers, Rings, Earrings, Pendants, etc. with techniques like gold plated inlay work, Kundan motifs, semi-precious stones and pearls.
House of Popli, the partner brand of Sangeeta Boochra in Mumbai retails the brand at its stores – Aquamarine, Minerali, and the Nimai x Sangeeta Boochra Flagship store in Bandra and Colaba.
Also, this collection will soon be available on leading multi-brand marketplaces like Myntra, Nykaa Fashion, Tata Cliq, Ajio, Jaypore, etc. and multi-brand designer stores & portals like Aza, Ensemble, Ogaan, etc.
