Backed by Sony Music India, the track speaks about a womanтАЩs undying love for the man of her dreams. Sung by Raashi Sood, written and composed by UpsideDown, Raashi Sood, ICONYK, and with music by UpsideDown and ICONYK, the song is sure to get you grooving.
While UpsideDown is a Los Angeles-based hip hop, R&B, EDM, trap and urban music producer, DJ & performer, ICONYK aka Nikhil Malik is a Mumbai-LA based pop-rap producer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ.
Sharing the experience of working on the track, UpsideDown says, “I started working on this concept two years ago, but was waiting for the right artistes to collaborate with to bring this idea to fruition. Raashi blessed the track with her vocals and ICONYKтАЩs production elements made the song feel complete. Addiction is a fusion of traditional instruments and modern beats.тАЭ
Talking about the collaboration, ICONYK says, “It’s always a pleasure collaborating with UpsideDown. We’ve been working on music together for a few years now. When he played me this track for the first time, we both felt it needed an Indian touch and we’re extremely happy with the final result. Rashi is a unique singer with really diverse music sensibilities and her hooks are extremely catchy. I hope the listeners enjoy the amalgamation of our styles in Addiction.”
