A special musical tribute to legendary composer R.D. Burman will be held on June 28, 2025, at 7 PM at the Rang Sharda Auditorium in Bandra. Celebrated artists Amit Kumar and Shailja Subramanian will perform at The Journey (From S.D. Burman to R.D. Burman), a concert organized to support the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA).
This nostalgic evening will showcase iconic melodies by both S.D. Burman and R.D. Burman, celebrating their timeless contributions to Indian music. Proceeds from the event will directly aid underprivileged cancer patients supported by CPAA.
Amit Kumar, son of the legendary Kishore Kumar, emphasized his commitment to the cause: “I am proud to support CPAA. Music is a powerful way to raise awareness and bring hope to those battling cancer.”
Singer Shailja Subramanian shared, “Performing for CPAA is an honour. Music can heal and help us give back to those in need.”
The Cancer Patients Aid Association has been providing comprehensive support to cancer patients for over 56 years, offering free medication, nutritional support, prostheses, ambulance services, and more.
