Popular singer Mame Khan and Rajasthani singer Manesha A Agarwal have come up with a song. Titled ‘Malhar’, the track has been composed by Ravi Pawar and released by T-Series.

Talking about the composition, Ravi says, “Almost a decade ago, I composed Manesha A Agarwal’s ‘Padharo Mhare Des’, which went on to become a hit and an anthem of sorts in Rajasthan. With ‘Malhar’, we have tried to spread the essence of Rajasthan through music, yet again. Manesha’s devotion towards music and riyaaz reflect beautifully through the rendition.”

The track has been penned by Vijay Ateet and he has tried to bring forth the natural beauty of Rajasthan. Manesha says that the band bandish employs renditions of traditional classical instruments like the santoor and sitar, among others.

“Mame Khan has sung an alaap venerating the God of Rain (Indra) for how he has blessed our planet with bounty of rain through blooming flowers and lush greenery. This composition is a unique amalgamation of folk music of Rajasthan and Indian classical music – the music video reflects the historical and cultural heritage of Rajasthan,” she says.
