This story is a little peek into the struggling life of transgenders. The Hijras. They have been subject to discrimination and harassment. Non-respectful behaviour towards them makes their lives even more inhumane and difficult.
There are many examples of gender-sensitive practices in society.
Like – 1. Only Women and men have equal opportunities excluding transgenders.
2. As interests and concerns for women and other segments of society are given great importance, similarly transgenders’ concerns too are needed to be addressed. If given a opportunity they too can fulfill their responsibility given to them.
The government has made many laws and has taken many step to implement them. But as responsible citizens, it is our duty to take initiative to transform the society.
Makan No.205 is a motivational message to all fellow citizens to help this transformation of society.
