Jayati Bhatia, who was seen in Kanyadaan, Kutumb, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Sasural Simar Ka, and currently seen in among others, recently appeared in the podcast The Vedas Speak, which is hosted by Dr. Sammeer Arora and produced under Ajinkya Jadhav’s Paparazzi Entertainment. She believes in destiny and feels everything is written.
Sharing her thoughts on spirituality, she said, “For me, spirituality is equal to the universe, and that is what naturally came out during the conversation. I must say there was a lot of emotional upheaval. It was a very intense and emotional experience. Kindness and compassion are the biggest religion. We are here by design and not by accident. So that way I feel connected to everybody.”
“And I know that when something happens today, whatever is happening, it is connected to my future or it is connected to my past. Whosoever I’m meeting today was meant to meet me, and I was meant to be at this certain place, because it is already written,” she added.
She describes herself as a positive person, and for someone who is meeting her for the first time, she said, “People will be able to see the real me—what I think, what I feel, and how protective I am. Every day, we meet 70–80 people, so it becomes very important to know our boundaries and understand how to behave with different kinds of people.”
She revealed that she entered the entertainment industry because she was learning classical dance and also studying the Russian language. She said, “During that time, one director there asked me to act in his play. It was a complete surprise for me. That is how it all started. Otherwise, I am someone who is very particular about training and building a strong foundation. I believe that a strong base is very important in any field.”
“When I came to Mumbai,I had no support system and I did not know anyone in Mumbai. But I had completed four years of theatre training before coming to Mumbai. I came with a strong theatre foundation because I truly believe in learning the basics of any craft I choose. ,” she added.
For Jayati, the most challenging phase was around 2023. She said, “There may be many OTT channels, or even a project after a super hit show, but the first auditions are always very basic and difficult. I would say the time around 2023, especially the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, was very challenging for me.”
“There were critics, channels, and situations that made me feel as if I had not contributed anything to the industry, or that my talent and hard work were not being acknowledged. That phase was very, very tough for me,” she added.
Her biggest strength throughout has been the faith she has in her work and in her talent. She said, “My dedication, devotion, and discipline keep me going personally. I also have strong faith in my family, and they have supported me a lot—my mother and Mr. Kiran Bhatia. They have supported me the most.”
“I believe a lot in teamwork; whenever and whichever project I have done, every team on every project has supported me, and I got a lot of love, and I am very grateful to my Gurujis—Guru Mahadhar Raut and also to Mr. Ibrahim Alkazi. They have helped me build a very solid foundation as an artist. Because of that strong training and foundation, I see myself as a fearless actor,” she added.
