Mumbai: Kerala Tourism has unpacked a set of experiential products tailored to meet the demands of the domestic and international travelers ahead of the festival and winter holiday seasons, which will be showcased before a larger audience across the country as part of its massive market outreach.
Besides boosting Kerala’s credentials as a safe, hospitable and welcoming destination, the outreach planned in major Indian cities will spotlight on a slew of riveting products and experiences, including a string of newly added locales on the state’s tourism map side-by-side the time-tested backwaters, beaches and hill stations.
The upcoming campaign has been meticulously worked out to add a further momentum to tourism in Kerala, which has already been witnessing a massive surge in arrivals, Tourism Minister Shri P A Mohamed Riyas said.
The roadshows and networking events will give greater visibility to the innovative products rolled out by state to meet the demands of tourists within India and abroad, the Minister added.
Kerala Tourism, which showcased its readiness to the world for Destination Weddings and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) at the recently concluded Wedding and MICE Conclave at Kochi, will vigorously showcase these strengths in the B2B meets and trade fairs.
Heralding a new era of luxury and leisure, Kerala, endowed with pristine natural beauty, vibrant culture and rich heritage, is quickly emerging as a preferred hub not only for destination weddings but also for MICE events. With its spectacular landscapes, world-class facilities and seamless blend of tradition and modernity, the state is attracting event planners, couples and corporate clients looking for a distinctive and memorable experience, said Mr PK Sooraj , information officer, Kerala Tourism
To further entice tourists, also on display will be the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (12th Dec, 2025 – 31st March, 2026), hailed as India’s most significant new-age art event, and the Champions Boat League (CBL) (19th Sep – 06th Dec 2025), that has started from September 19 at Kainakkary in Alappuzha.
Kerala Tourism will host India’s first travel literary festival, ‘Yaanam 2025: Tales, Trails & Journeys’, from 17–19 October 2025 at Ranga Kala Kendram, Varkala, Kerala. The three-day event will bring together travellers, writers, artists and adventurers to share stories and experiences through panels, trails and performances. Designed to spotlight Varkala as an experiential destination, Yaanam also fosters cultural exchange, narrative tourism and sustainable travel. The festival complements Kerala Tourism’s innovative initiatives, strengthening the state’s global tourism appeal.
Alongside the new projects, the state’s core assets like beaches, hill stations, houseboats and backwater segment will heighten the totality of the visitors’ experience. The state is unique in having a variety of experiences for travel enthusiasts like houseboats, caravan stays, plantation visits, jungle resorts, homestays, Ayurveda-based wellness solutions, adventure activities and countryside walks, including trekking to verdant hills.
Scripting an all-time record in domestic tourist visits, Kerala attracted 2,22,46,989 visitors from within the country in the calendar year 2024, and the state seeks to build on the increase on footfalls it has achieved since the resurgence post Covid-19 said Kerala Tourism Director Smt. Sikha Surendran.
In recognition of its innovative marketing communications campaigns, Kerala Tourism was also again recently bestowed the PATA Gold Award 2025 in the “Most Engaging Social Media Campaign” category for its meme-led digital marketing efforts.
The state will organise a string of B2B roadshows and participation in trade fairs in major Indian cities to introduce the latest offerings to a wider audience, assuring them quality time while engaging with the state’s mesmeric charm and famed hospitality.
The travel trade networking activities has kickstarted with B2B trade meets in Ahmedabad & Surat during September, followed by B2B meets in Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh and New Delhi during October. This marketing outreach will seek to leverage the upcoming festival and winter holiday seasons, when tourist arrivals experience a healthy surge from both India and abroad.
