In a recent interaction, Aamir unveiled that his role in the movie is anything but typical — rather, it’s specifically “politically incorrect.”
‘Insults Everybody Without Meaning To
The actor shared insights into his role, saying, “The character I’m playing in Sitaare Zameen Par is politically incorrect. “He insults everyone — not because he’s trying to be mean, but because he doesn’t know any better.” Aamir added that the role is laced with humor and heart, and that audiences will find themselves laughing and learning at the same time.
While Aamir is infamous for choosing socially pertinent, emotionally intense roles, this one appears to be following a slightly divergent path — one that indulges in human faultiness, cringe-worthy moments, and desperately needed self-knowledge.
A Spiritual Sequel to Taare Zameen Par
Surprisingly, Sitaare Zameen Par is being labeled as a spiritual sequel to Aamir’s hit Taare Zameen Par (2007). But here, the story is not of a dyslexic child, but of a set of special children who realize their potential with the help of sports.
“THIS movie is full of joy. “Whereas Taare Zameen Par made everyone cry, this one will make everyone laugh and feel motivated,” Aamir stated. He also added that the movie explores themes of acceptance, inclusiveness, and compassion — all in a light-hearted, entertaining manner.
