Danish singer-songwriter Hasan Shah has made his debut in Indian non-film music scene with the song Hawa, which released today. Presented by Sony Music India, the track has been composed and sung by Hasan. He has also penned the track along with Ramses. The music video features Hasan and Dunia Shagiwal.
‘Hawa’ is a fun-filled and groovy take on the philosophy that life is too short to hold on to toxic relationships. The video showcases a helpless boyfriend trying to get away from his obsessive girlfriend in hilarious scenarios.
About the release of the song, Hasan says, “I’m thrilled to have made my Indian pop debut with ‘Hawa’. I believe that if you have to convey something profound, it’s best to do so humorously and through music. While ‘Hawa’ does have quirky lyrics and a foot-tapping melody, it also subtly shares the message that toxic relationships are just not worth it. I had the opportunity to collaborate with lovely people through the song and I can only hope that the listeners welcome my debut.”
Hasan’s Danish single Tyveri went platinum and was nominated for the best music video at the Danish Grammys.
