To play the dark and troubled Severus Snape, HBO has cast Jamie Campbell Bower, a name known to fans of fantasy television shows such as Stranger Things and movies of The Twilight Saga. Surprisingly, HBO has yet to announce the actors for the main trio — Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The studio has indicated that it would like to leave the announcement special and will more than likely make them public nearer to the time of production.
