Actor Gaurav Chopra will make a grand entry into the Hindi film industry with the big-ticket film, Bachchan Pandey. Starring Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead, Gaurav will be seen as an antagonist in the movie.
Talking about debuting with such a big project, the actor says, “I feel extremely lucky and fortunate to be cast by Mukesh Chhabra for Sajid Nadiadwala production. It doesn’t get better than that, for a debut. To find someone like Farhad (Samji) sir as a director was great. He literally held my hand, because I had a lot of questions and doubts. He gave me confidence and brought me into the film. Also, debuting opposite a prolific star like Akshay Kumar site is a privilege.”
Gaurav came on board on December 30, 2020 and was cast by Chhabra. He’s glad that he is an integral part of such a big film. “As an antagonist of the film and to stand up against Akshay Kumar on screen, I needed confidence and I’m glad that Farhad sir, Akshay sir and Sajid sir encouraged me on the set in Jaisalmer. They made me feel at home, despite the fact that the entire ensemble cast and crew had been shooting for at least 50 days before I reached. I feel extremely lucky and thankful to all these people,” says Gaurav.
