Style Decoded: Darasing Khurana

Actor-Mr India Darasing Khurana is known for his amazing sense of style. When Soumya Vajpayee from Saachibaat.com got in touch with him, he shared details about his taste and some of his favourite choices.

Which kind of outfit do you love the most?
I love outfits that have multiple layers. I believe layers enhance my personality. I also think I look the best in winter wear, again because I can wear multiple layers and also I like myself in Indian ethnic wear. I am an appreciater of fine hand work and embroidery

Who is your style/fashion icon?
There isn’t one particular person I look upto, my sense of fashion comes from designer lookbooks, Netflix shows, Instagram models etc. In short, I derive inspiration from anywhere and everywhere and then add my personal style to it.

What is that one fashion/style accessory you cannot leave home without?
It definitely has to be my shades. I feel a good pair of sunglasses give that confidence to win the world, even if I am in my pajamas and an old t-shirt.

Which celebrity do you admire the most for their style quotient and why?
Ayushmann Khurrana! Our fashion sense is very similar, I admire his sense of style because he doesn’t fear playing with his look. But he doesn’t go overboard with it like how Ranveer Singh sometimes does. Ayushmann just knows where to draw a line and that’s very important.

Which is your favourite perfume?
It’s difficult to name just one. There’s a tie between Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani and Bvlgari Aqua.

A fashion/style taboo that you strongly condemn.
I think today, there are no rules when it comes to fashion. Gone are the days when fashion had rules, now it’s all about breaking the rules and standing out. I remember two years ago, I wore a kurta with hand embroidered bundi and paired it up with sports shoes and the look was really appreciated. But if we go by the rules, it’s a big jo to pair Indian outfit with sports shoes.
