The collection titled ‘La Belle Epoque – The Beautiful Age’ honours the brand’s 38-year journey in the world of fashion and also marks Reliance Industry’s marvelous success in bringing the most coveted labels to our country. Originally, the historical period of ‘La Belle Epoque’ saw a massive flourishing of art and culture. It was an era of exceptional prosperity, inspiration and joie de vivre. The creators of this age thrived within and without and the glorious effect of their contributions became the theme for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s collection for the grand opening of Jio World Plaza.
“This collection for Jio World Plaza is our very own Belle Epoque. It represents a heightened dedication to everything we stand for – unfettered creativity, freedom of expression and of course, joyous living that is true to the core. La Belle Epoque is also possibly our most modern collection yet, with an emphasis on drop dead glamour. It is delightfully frisky and fabulously fun. And it will we hope, become and remain eternally relevant. This Beautiful Age is here to stay”, say Abu and Sandeep.
The collection includes timeless classics reimagined with a contemporary perspective. Its decadence manifests in pure fabrics, abundant strings of pearls and gold and silver adornments. The silhouettes are traditional, edgy and dramatic while their handcrafted workmanship effortlessly reflects the artistic affluence of Abu Sandeep and their talented kaarigars. The garments are a celebration of their maximal approach to couture as well as their relentless dedication to beauty, inclusivity and quality craftsmanship. Signature techniques like Resham, Mirror and Zardozi find brand new expression in the Belle Epoque.
“With this collection we enter a Golden Age like none that has come before. Magnificent design that speaks a new language of finesse, detail and seductive glamour. It isn’t merely gilded we aspire to, it is creating the equivalent of solid gold”, add Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.
Sonam dazzled in a Navratna gold tissue slit skirt hand embroidered in gota, beads, crystals and coloured resham paired with a Navratna blouse and a tissue Hyderabadi dupatta with gold booties and borders.
