Punjabi musician and international celebrity Diljit Dosanjh has come forward with a shocking racist experience that he encountered in Australia on his current Aura Tour. A humble and down-to-earth personality, Diljit admitted that despite his international fame, he continues to face prejudice based on how he looks.

Talking openly at one of his tour dates, the singer disclosed that he received a racist comment shortly after arriving in Australia. “When I got to the airport, somebody glanced at me and said, ‘Oh, the cab driver is here,'” Diljit said. His words resonated with fans, many of whom vented their anger and disappointment at the incident on social media.
The Born to Shine artist explained that he was not surprised but was deeply hurt by how flippant such discrimination could be. “It happens all the time — people look at our turban and beard and assume things.
