Mumbai: Actor Dilip Joshi, known for his role as Jethalal in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, or TMKOC, has finally broken his silence on the reports of a falling out with the show’s producer, Asit Modi. There had been rumors that the two had an altercation on location that resulted in Joshi allegedly pulling Modi by the collar during a heated argument. The incident reportedly took place when Joshi wanted some time off, but Modi allegedly ignored his request.

Joshi Denies Media Gossip

In an official statement, Joshi outrightly denied all these allegations, labeling them as “completely false” and “saddening.” He complained about the frequent rumors damaging both his image and that of the show’s faithful viewers. According to him, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is something he cares deeply about and millions of viewers care for, and so doing baseless gossip only harms people. It’s thus clear that, regardless of such stories, Joshi continues to be part of the show, working with the same passion and dedication.

A Show of Unity

Not even Dilip Joshi, but his co-actors, like Mandar Chandwadkar and Amit Bhatt, who is playing the role of ‘Bapu ji’ have also dismissed the rumours, saying that there has nothing happened like that. Everything on the set is good and harmonious. Actor Dilip Joshi has given many years of hard work and passion to this show and is really very committed towards it, and he is also busy focusing on bringing joy to his audience. He requested the media to cross-check all the rumors before publishing such stories.

The actor concluded his statement by thanking the fans for their unwavering support that, he said, “means a lot” to him”.
