Charrul Malik on International Day Of Happiness

Happiness is an internal phenomenon. It not only makes our life better but also keeps us internally and externally fit. There is a saying, laughter is the best medicine. On International Day of Happiness (March 20) today, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai actor Charrul Malik speaks on the occasion.

“Happiness is everything to me. If we are not happy nothing feels good. If we are not happy we aren’t hungry, we don’t feel like working, talking, we don’t look at the world with happiness, and we are not ourselves if we are not happy. Happiness is so vital and I think there’s no life without happiness,” she says.

Being happy is more important than being successful. “There’s no success if we aren’t happy. Happiness is the key to everything. If you’re happy doing your work and being yourself, you are being positive. Khushi hai toh sab hai warna yes success kya hi cheez hai,” she adds.

Charrul says happiness is related to our health and wellness. “We are happy when we have a positive energy. When we are unwell, we don’t get the positive energy. So both these things are inter-connected. The person who is unhappy with himself will cause harm to his body as well. It’s all about being mentally, physically and emotionally strong. The key to all these is happiness,” she says.

Talking about the top five things she cherishes in life, Charrul adds that she expresses her gratitude each and every day for keeping her alive. “I feel blessed. My family who’s been with me through everything, my health, me being in a positive frame of mind and lastly it’s me and the freedom that we have to do things that not everyone is allowed to, these are the things that matter to me,” she adds.

Her greatest strength that she wishes to share with everyone, something that motivates her to be happy, the actor says, “My greatest strength is my ability to think positively and be happy 24/7. I also get negative thoughts sometimes but there’s an inner strength that motivates me to stay happy. I take positive energies from each and everyone. Looking at how privileged I am, inspires me to stay motivated in life.”
