Palash Dutta Classic Productions presents an endearing and heartwarming story of interpersonal relationships via a thought-provoking short film of 21 minutes “THANKS MOM” starring an ensemble cast of notable actors from the television, films & theatre arena- Pravina Deshpande, Sharad Malhotra, Akanksha Puri & Palash Dutta
Palash summarized the narrative of the plot in one line, saying “Thanks Mom is a human & a universal story of every mother & son that will melt your hearts away. The strength of the film is its emotional value, its connectivity to the viewers. I wanted to make a film that connects with the audience and I want to evoke the emotion of ‘Oh! yeh toh meri aur meri maa ki kahani hai’ in the audience”
Thanks Mom is the most honest & truest form of interpretation of a mother’s role not just in a child’s life but also in a family. She is the thread that keeps the family together, her beauty, grace & kindness shape & mold the child. It is a story of a mother & son’s unconditional love at every stage of life. It highlights a traditional mom-son connection that is frayed and rough around the edges, filled with awkward silences and unsaid feelings that both of them find difficult to navigate but come around for each other when the time comes.
