Bollywood singer Sreerama Chandra wins ‘Best Male Playback Singer (Telugu)’ at 69th Filmfare Awards South 2024

Sreerama Chandra is one personality in the Indian entertainment industry who is recognised as a man of many talents. Apart from being a good-looking and charming actor who’s appeared in various movies over the years, he’s also managed to mesmerize one and all with his charismatic and captivating voice. Apart from being a professional trained singer, he’s also got his roots sorted and covered with various reality shows like Indian Idol, Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa, & many more. Over the years, all thanks to his incredible potential and good work, he’s won several accolades and awards for himself and this year, a few months back, the singer who’s well-known for Bollywood songs like Subhanalla, Balma, Allah Duhai, & many more added another big milestone to his career. Yes, that’s right.

Sreerama Chandra won the prestigious ‘Best Male Playback Singer (Telugu)’ for the song ‘Oh Rendu Prema Meghalila’ from the movie ‘Baby’. He won the same at the 69th Filmfare Awards South 2024 that took place some time back. The award was indeed a good and happy recognition for all the good work he’s done and no wonder, he’s motivated to do even better going forward. Not many people are aware that the movie ‘Baby’ for which he won the award was made at a budget of 8-10 crores. However, it eventually went on to collect as many as 150 crores at the box office and Sreerama’s song from the movie was certainly a torch-bearer in the process. The movie is currently being remade in Hindi with legendary actor Govinda’s son Yashvardan Ahuja & late Irrfan Khan sir’s son Babil Khan as leads with Pritam spearheading the music department for the same as per buzz in the media. Given the fact that both Sreeram and Pritam have created magic together with ‘Subhanalla’.

As we all know, Sreerama has worked in Bollywood, Telugu cinema as well as TV. He is also the winner of the 5th season of Indian Idol in 2010 and soon after that, he won hearts with his first movie as a lead in 2014 titled as ‘Prema Geema Jaanta Nai’. Prior to that, he also had a special cameo in Jagadguru Adi Shankara. Here’s congratulating him once again on his big Filmfare victory and here’s wishing him many more awards going forward.
