Mr India International 2018 Darasing Khurana entered his wedding venue in a 92-year-old vintage Fiat convertible, owned by a 93-year-old queen of Kolhapur, when he tied the knot with his ladylove, Monaa Jaswani, in an intimate ceremony held in Lucknow over the weekend.
Since their industry friends couldn’t be present at the wedding physically, owing to the gathering and travel restrictions across the country due to the pandemic, a lot of B-Town celebs planned a surprise for the couple by sharing their wishes virtually and staying updated about the celebrations.
While senior actress Upasana Singh ensured that she attended Darasing’s wedding and danced at the baraat, popular names like Satish Kaushik, Aahana Kumra, Faruk Kabir, Sonnalli Seygall, Harshvardhan Rane, Freddy Daruwala, Pooja Chopra, Eijaz Khan, Jayantilal Gada, Amol Parashar and Rukhsar Rehman, among others, wished the couple virtually and were part of the celebrations.
Since the newly weds were clueless about the surprise by the celebs, they couldn’t contain their happiness and emotions when they heard the wishes. “It was overwhelming. This pandemic has taught us how one can find alternate ways of being part of someone’s happiness, even if they cannot be present physically,” says Darasing. Monaa adds, “All the wishes were extremely special for us. We had no idea that our well-wishers and friends from the industry would find a way to be part of our wedding in such a beautiful manner. Dara and I consider ourselves lucky and blessed.”
While the groom looked ravishing in an off-white sherwani by Mehraab, the bride’s jewellery by Raabta by Rahul was captivating, too. Make-up artiste Sneha Charan did a great job with the hair and make-up. The wedding was covered by Hardik Taneja and Surya Chaturvedi. The couple was to tie the knot in April this year, but the wedding had to be shifted to October because of the pandemic.
