Singer, composer, music supervisor Akashdeep Sengupta has composed the song Mere Yaara is out and it’s been a game-changer for Akashdeep. He was the vocal arranger and vocal supervisor for Pritam da and had worked in films like Dilwale, Dishoom, Dangal, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Tubelight, Raabta, Jab Harry met Sejal, Jagga Jasoos, Kalank, Chhichhore, Love aaj kal2, Ludo, and many more of his upcoming films.

Now that’s a very tall order. He has also directed music in films like 1920 London, Behen hogi teri, Shaadi mein zaroor aana, Badhai ho, Loveyatri, Bhangra Paa Le, and most recently Sooryavanshi. That says something about the caliber of this talented musician.

We spoke to Akashdeeo on his latest track Mere Yaara for Sooryavanshi and here is what he says, “It has done wonders for my career. It has been loved by all. It’s the only track in the film which brings some calm amongst the storm and that was what the brief which came. I am also currently supervising an Amazon Original feature film directed by Anand Tiwari and a few more which are on the pre-production stage. But now is the time for Mere Yaara. The film is releasing soon and it’s a landmark film. It will help much to Kickstart the films in theatres and people who love watching them on the big screen. Thousands of jobs are associated with that. Even though it took time, we are all very happy that we are seeing this day. It has been a devastating time before all of this. Wishing everyone a very happy Diwali. Let’s the lights and love begin.”
