Filmmaker JP Dutta and Bindiya Goswami’s daughter, Nidhi Dutta, tied the knot with fiancé, director Binoy Gandhi, at a grand ceremony in Jaipur on March 7. While the pre-wedding celebrations had started at the famous Rambagh Palace a couple of days before, the wedding was a starry affair.
A source says, “The theme for every ceremony was special. While it was ‘Krishna Ki Chhavi’ for the mehendi ceremony, it was London’s Annabels for the sangeet. The colour code for haldi was ‘Marigold Speech’, and people were dressed in shades of saffron. The wedding had a magical ambiance with ‘Hues of Gold’ as the theme. The garden where the couple tied the knot was named ‘Garden of the Gods’, and every part of the venue had statues and portraits of various gods and goddesses. The idea behind it was that all the Gods must bless the young couple.”
As far as the outfits of the couple for the wedding goes, they wore popular couturier Manish Malhotra’s creations. While Nidhi wore a blush pink lehenga with embroidery, Binoy wore an off-white sherwani with a pink shawl. “The guest list of the wedding comprised several celebrities, including Javed Akhtar, Suniel, Mana and Athiya Shetty, Arjun Rampal with family, Sonu Nigam with wife, Raveena Tandon, Sunny Deol, Anushka and Akansha Ranjan, and Anu Malik and family, among others,” says the insider.
