Citara has marched forward in it’s journey to bring Cinema to the masses by way of taking over the operations of the four screens in South Kashmir and North Kashmir. The diaspora of Shopian, Pulwama, Handwara and Baramullah will now be treated to ‘First Day First Show’, Kids Film Festival, Golden Era and more beginning February 2025.
The company is also poised to expand the presence to Udhampur, Kishtwar, Doda, Bhadarwah, Pahalgam and Anatnag during the course of the year.
Renowned Producer Pradeep Sharma – Founder Citara: The vision of bringing Cinema to Kashmir took a shape with the vision of the Honorable Prime Minister: Shri Narendra Modi ji and Honorable Lt.Governor Shri.Sinha ji. Citara is now committed to bring the joys of ‘First Day First Show’ to the current locations and in times to come to Pahalgam, Anantnag, Kishtwar and Bhadarwah.
Rumi Jaffrey, noted film writer and director echoed the sentiment and said that Kashmir has been the dream of every story writer and director and Citara with it’s initiative will bring the joys of the Big Screen to the Kashmir Valley.
Saurabh Saxena – ED Citara said, we are prepared to deliver quality ‘First day First shows’, Kids Cinema and more to the local diaspora. With the screens, Reels Cafe, Reels Point and more we plan to bring greater employment to the youth of Kashmir.
