December 19 is the martyrdom day of (freedom fighters) Ram Prasad Bismil and Ashfaqullah Khan.

Ram Prasad Bismil was an Indian revolutionary who participated in Mainpuri conspiracy of 1918, and the Kakori conspiracy of 1925, and struggled against British imperialism. Bismil was hanged on 19 December 1927 by the British for his revolutionary activities.

Ashfaqulla Khan (22 October 1900 – 19 December 1927) was a freedom fighter in the Indian independence movement. Ashfaqulla Khan was put to death by hanging on 19 December 1927 at Faizabad jail.
This revolutionary man became a martyr and a legend among his people due to his love for the motherland, his clear thinking, unshakeable courage, firmness and loyalty.

*ध्यायतो विषयान्पुंसः* *सङ्गस्तेषूपजायते।*
*सङ्गात्संजायते कामः कामात्क्रोधोऽभिजायते*

while contemplating on the objects of the senses, one develops attachment to them. Attachment leads to desire, and from desire arises anger.

यावद्बध्दो मरुद देहे यावच्चित्तं निराकुलम्।
यावद्द्रॄष्टिभ्रुवोर्मध्ये तावत्कालभयं कुत: ॥

yāvadbadhdo maruda dehe yāvaccittaṃ nirākulam।
yāvaddrṝṣṭibhruvormadhye tāvatkālabhayaṃ kuta: ॥

So long as the breath is restrained in the body, so long as the mind is undisturbed, and so long as the gaze is fixed between the eyebrows, there is no fear from Death..
