AGARTALA is the capital city of Tripura, a northeast Indian state. Agartala is a derivative of two words, namely agar, a valuable perfume and incense tree of genus Aquilaria, and the suffix tala, meaning underneath.

VEDIK GYAN:

Dhruva was an ascetic devotee of Vishnu mentioned in the Vishnu Purana and the Bhagavata Purana. The Sanskrit term dhruva nakshatra has been used for Pole Star in the Mahabharata,

The Sanskrit term dhruva nakshatra (ध्रुव नक्षत्र, “polar star”) has been used for Pole Star in the Mahabharata, personified as son of Uttānapāda and grandson of Manu.

Dhruv was the son of King Uttanapada and his first wife, Suniti. He pleased Lord Vishnu by performing penance at the tender age of five. Therefore, he was blessed with the honour of becoming the Dhruv Nakshatra.

पिपीलिकार्जितं धान्यं मक्षिकासञ्चितं मधु ।

लुब्धेन सञ्चितं द्रव्यं समूलं हि विनश्यति ॥

pipīlikārjitaṃ dhānyaṃ makṣikāsañcitaṃ madhu।
lubdhena sañcitaṃ dravyaṃ samūlaṃ hi vinaśyati॥

Grain collected by ants, honey collected by bees, and wealth accumulated by a greedy person,
will all be destroyed along with its source.​

चींटी द्वारा इकट्ठा किया गया अनाज, मक्खी द्वारा जमा किया गया शहद,
