FACTS ABOUT BHARAT

On this day (11 Dec 1845) – First battle Britishers and Sikhs started. The First Anglo-Sikh War (also known as the “ਜੰਗ ਹਿੰਦ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ” or First Panjab Hind(British) war) was fought between the Sikh Empire under Maharaja Ranjit Singh and the East India Company in 1845 and 1846 in and around the Ferozepur district of Punjab.

VEDIK GYAN

अनादरो विलम्बश्च वै मुख्यम निष्ठुर वचनम।
पश्चतपश्च पञ्चापि दानस्य दूषणानि च।।

अर्थ – अपमान करके देना, मुंह फेर कर देना, देरी से देना, कठोर वचन बोलकर देना और देने के बाद पछ्चाताप होना। ये सभी 5 क्रियाएं दान को दूषित कर देती है।

To give by insulting, to turn away, to give late, to give by speaking harsh words and to repent after giving. All these 5 actions pollute the charity.
