Rama’s Bridge or Rama Setu, is a chain of limestone shoals, between Pamban Island, also known as Rameswaram Island, off the south-eastern coast of Tamil Nadu, India, and Mannar Island, off the north-western coast of Sri Lanka.
Why is Mahavir Jayanti celebrated?
Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated on the Trayodashi of Shukla Paksha in Chaitra month.
Mahavira Janma Kalyanaka is one of the most important religious festivals in Jainism. It celebrates the birth of Mahavira, the twenty-fourth and last Tīrthaṅkara (supreme preacher) of present Avasarpiṇī.
According to Shvetambara tradition, he was born in Kshatriyakund of Bihar. Mahavira was born into Jnatra clan of the Ikshvaku dynasty as the son of King Siddhartha of Kundagrama and Queen Trishala.

Rama Navami ( राम नवमी) is a Hindu spring festival that celebrates the birthday of Rama, the seventh avatar of Vishnu. Rama is particularly important in the Vaishnavite tradition of Hinduism. The festival celebrates the descent of Vishnu as the Rama avatar, through his birth to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya in Ayodhya. The festival is a part of the spring (Vasanta) Navratri, and falls on the ninth day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of Chaitra, the first month in the Hindu calendar.
