how egg shell is formed

🤔 How it works ……..

HOW EGG SHELL IS FORMED

The eggshell is produced in the uterus or shell gland by the deposition of calcium carbonate. The eggshell formation roughly takes about 20 hours. Calcium is deposited onto the shell through the blood stream. Eggshells in high productive laying hens contain between 1.7 to 2.4 grams of calcium (average of 2 grams).

About 95% of the dry eggshell is calcium carbonate weighing 5.5 grams. The average eggshell contains about . 3% phosphorus and . 3% magnesium and traces of sodium, potassium, zinc, manganese, iron and copper.

😳Why❓❓❓

WHY AN OWL CAN SEE AT NIGHT…?

Owls don’t have eyeballs. The eyes are long and shaped more like a tube. Owl eyes can’t turn in their sockets because of this shape. Owls and the related nightjars (including Whip-poor-wills and nighthawks) are among the only birds that have a larger upper eyelid than lower eyelid.

Owls have good night vision for a few reasons. First, they have a lot more rods and not as many cones, so they lose color vision, but see a lot better at night. Also their eyes are very large, so they pick up a lot of light rays. Owls have a sort of mirror at the back of their eye called the tapetum lucidum.

HEALTH TIPS FOR SOUND SLEEP

Try to get into a regular sleep/wake cycle — especially on the weekends. If possible, try to wake up naturally at a similar time every day.

Long daytime naps may impair sleep quality. If you have trouble sleeping at night, stop napping or shorten your naps.
