How Black Box works

🤔 How it works ……..

What is ‘Black Box’ ?How it works?

Black Box is also known as the ‘Flight Data Recorder’ introduced in 1939. Initially it was painted in black colour. It is in fact now bright orange to aid in their recovery after accidents. The Black Box or Flight Data Recorder of an Airplane is an instrument which records all the activities of the airplane during its flight. A black box flight recorder is heavily protected recording device, similar to a hard disk or a memory card.
The black box records all relevant flight data, in addition to conversation in the cockpit. The “black box” is made up of two separate pieces of equipment: the flight data recorder (FDR) and a cockpit voice recorder (CVR).
“Black boxes” are most commonly installed in the rear of the aircraft where they are more likely to survive the impact of a crash.

Black boxes aren’t indestructible, but they’re certainly tough. They have to be able to survive:

Impact of up to 3400Gs
Exposure to fire of 1100°C for up to 30 minutes
Immersion up to 20′000 feet.

😳Why❓❓❓

Why is earthing necessary in electrical systems?🔌➿

The process of transferring the immediate discharge of the electrical energy directly to the earth by the help of the low resistance wire is known as the electrical earthing.

The earthing is essential because of the following reasons

The earthing protects the personnel from the short circuit current. The earthing provides the easiest path to the flow of short circuit current even after the failure of the insulation.

The earthing protects the apparatus and personnel from the high voltage surges and lightning discharge. When the fault occurs the fault current from the equipment flows through the earthing system to the earth and thereby protect the equipment from the fault current.
