(1900 to 1967)

The revolutionary changes in the Doon Valley were thought to be deceptive
But were recapitulated so that it’s future could drift into right perspective

In the year 1900 first train from Haridwar reached Dehradun Railway Station
This resulted in Doon Valley n Mussoorie getting closer to India’s population

In 1901 Radio Station was made functional in the kutchery Compound
In 1901 phonebells rang n much later the television gained its ground

In 1906 Forest Research Institute was made where officers got admit
On 24 th May 1909 the first bulb in the beautiful Doon Valley was lit

In 1920 a Ford T Model car was driven to Kulri by British Col E.W. Bell
In 1922 a road was built from king Craig to Cloud Inn casting its spell

In 1922 Prince of Wales set up Royal Indian Military college
To impart to the cadets proper training n military knowledge

One of the first schools to be set up was St George’s at Barlowganj
In Sharp Memorial Blind school many students took the plunge

In 1935 Mr P.R Das established the renowned
And famous Doon School
Professor A.E Foot first teacher coming from Eton England was pretty cool

Bhagwan Dass Bank was the first ever bank near Astley Ball
While Seth Nemi Dass built the Valley’s first Jugminder Hall

In 1957 the road reached Picture Palace and Laxmi Bhawan Estate
The Indian Military Academy was started from Chandbagh Estate

Colossal philanthropic achievements were made removing all ills
That’s when Mussoorie became the unrivalled Queen of Hills
