World Book Day

World Book day was started by UNESCO on 23 April 1995 to celebrate books & authors. Further to encourage young people to discover the pleasure of reading. Now World Book Day continues to encourage children and young people to read for pleasure through its work with authors, illustrators, bookshops and libraries.

World Book Day is celebrated on April 23, every year.
 April 23 is a symbolic date for world literature because on this date in 1616 that Cervantes, Shakespeare, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died.
