Manu Bhaker showed blistering form as she stormed into the rapid fire event of the Paris Olympics on Friday. Having won two Olympic medals already in these Games, Manu showcased her skills and strength as she scored an aggregate of 590. This was in precision and duelling.
This 22-year-old girl, an alumni of LSR College in New Delhi, has not even celebrated her medals. What she does is keep training, fully motivated by coach Jaspal Rana. Manu has already touched great heights. For her, peaking repeatedly is an art and she has mastered it.
When Manu started training again with coach Jaspal Rana last year, it was her own choice after the disaster in Tokyo. She was attempting to improve and she has shown anything is possible. All the lessons learnt have shown Manu can adapt and do well in multiple events.
Less than one hour after Manu had qualified on Friday, she again trained for the final. How she does not get tired is an amazing story. It is work ethic, fitness drills and yoga.
As for what she does in the ranges, slow fire and rapid fire, she has maximised her potential and made up for past losses in Tokyo and the Asian Games in Hangzhou.
