Gogra region in Eastern Ladakh

INTERNATIONAL NEWS

1. India & China have disengaged their troops in the Gogra region in Eastern Ladakh. The move came following the twelfth round of talks between the Corps Commanders of India and China, held at Chushul Moldo Meeting Point in Eastern Ladakh on 31st of July this year.

2. India is closely monitoring the evolving security situation in Afghanistan and continues to call for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire. India supports an Afghan led, Afghan owned and Afghan controlled peace process.

3. Thirty ambulances gifted by India to Bangladesh arrived at the Petrapole land port. The gift from India reflects India’s commitment towards assisting the fraternal people of Bangladesh.

4. Iran’s new President Ebrahim Raisi on Friday backed India’s role in the establishment of peace and security in Afghanistan and highlighted the need for a joint plan to elevate relations between Tehran and New Delhi.

5. Peace Mission-2021
India to carry out military drill with China & Pakistan: The drill will involve tactical-level operations in an international counter-insurgency or counter-terrorism environment under the SCO Charter.
More than 3,000 soldiers are expected to participate in the drill.

The Indian Army will be conducting air reconnaissance and protecting facilities during the joint drills with the Chinese People`s Liberation Army and the Pakistan Army.

The joint exercise will be conducted by the Central Military Commission of Russia from September 11 to September 25 at the Donguzsky training ground in the Orenburg region in Urals.

6. India has condemned the forcible removal of Nishan Sahib atop the roof of historic Gurdwara Thala Sahib in Afghanistan’s Paktia province.

🌎WORLD NEWS🌍

1. Most representatives of the 15 UN Security Council members opposed any military takeover by the Taliban and warned that the world will not accept any government forcibly imposed by the Taliban.

2. Taliban insurgents captured an Afghan provincial capital and killed the government’s senior media officer in Kabul on Friday amid a deteriorating security situation as U.S. and other foreign troops withdraw.

3. Pakistan Air Force aircraft crashes during training exercise in Punjab. This is the third such crash reported by the PAF in the last 18 months. Both pilots have ejected successfully.
