1. India will attend the inauguration of Iranian president elect Ebrahim Raisi in Tehran on 5 Aug 2021 amid growing coordination between New Delhi & Tehran over Afghan developments.

2. The embassy of India in Afghanistan has issued a security advisory for its nationals living there. The advisory comes in the wake of the withdrawal of American & NATO troops from Afghanistan & advancement of the Taliban.

3. LAC standoff: Heightened PLA activity near Chamoli, forces to step up patrol
After reports of increased activity by China’s People’s Liberation Army near the Barahoti area of Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district, security forces and the state police have formulated a plan to jointly patrol and conduct surveillance in the area.

4. India-US Talks:
The US Secretary of State Antony J Blinken is visiting India early next week. The two day visit from July 27-28.

5. Ten container rakes of Indian Railways send to Bangladesh on 24 Jul (Saturday) from Tatanagar station in Jharkhand with 200 metric tonnes of the Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO). It will reach Benapole in Bangladesh on 25 Jul (Sunday).

On 25 July 1978, Louise Joy Brown became the first baby to be conceived through IVF or in vitro fertilisation & World Embryologists Day every year. An embryologist is a fertility specialist that helps to create viable embryos to either be used in IVF right away or to be frozen for later use.
