2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday spoke to newly elected British Prime Minister Keir Starmer as the two leaders agreed to work towards an early conclusion of a mutually beneficial India-UK free trade agreement.
3. Tibetan spiritual leader The Dalai Lama turned 89 on Saturday and in his birthday message said he is physically fit and is determined to continue his service to Lord Buddha’s teachings. The Dalai Lama is in the US where he is recovering from a knee-replacement surgery.

1. In China, five people have been killed and 88 others injured after tornadoes struck the Heze City in Shandong province.
2. Masoud Pezeshkian, a reformist and former Health Minister of 🇮🇷Iran won the 14th presidential election. Iran went to polls on 28th of June, in which Pezeshkian garnered 42.6 per cent of the total votes.

4. The United Nations has expressed grave concerns about intensified clashes along the Lebanon-Israel frontier, known as the Blue Line. The world body highlighted the mounting tensions following an increase in exchanges of fire between Lebanese and Israeli forces.
