From Jacqueline Fernandes and Nargis Fakri, to Nora Fatehi and Evelyn Sharma, several international artistes have become part of the Hindi film industry over the years. Now, Hadelin de Ponteves, an AI entrepreneur from Paris, is debuting as an actor with two Indian films. While one is a Punjabi film, helmed by Smeep Kang, the Bollywood project is helmed by a leading filmmaker.

Talking about his love for acting, Hadelin says, “I always wanted to become an actor. It has been a passion since childhood and Bollywood has a huge role to play in that. I used to do theatre back home, but just as a hobby. I’m glad that I’m pursuing acting professionally now.”

Hadelin has done theatre extensively in Los Angeles, Paris, and Dubai. “I was also part of many acting workshops. I’m a trained actor. I feel the best way to hone your skills as an actor is by observing people, listening to them, having empathy for characters, and doing classic and contemporary monologues frequently,” says Hadelin, whose favourite Bollywood actors are Irrfan Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt.
