New delhi: Nitish Kumar Rejoins NDA
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has officially rejoined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). After a period of separation from the alliance, Kumar traveled to Delhi, meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. During this visit, they discussed seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This marks a pivotal moment in Kumar’s political journey, as he realigns with the NDA to bolster the alliance’s strength in Bihar.

Chandrababu Naidu’s Strategic Move
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has also thrown his support behind the BJP. Naidu, who parted ways with the NDA in 2018, is now in Delhi to meet with senior BJP leaders including Amit Shah and JP Nadda. This move signifies Naidu’s strategic alignment with the BJP, aiming to strengthen the party’s presence in southern India ahead of the elections.

BJP’s Expanding Coalition
These developments are part of the BJP’s broader strategy to solidify its alliances across India. By securing the support of influential regional leaders like Kumar and Naidu, the BJP aims to enhance its electoral prospects both in the northern and southern states. This concerted effort underscores the party’s determination to maximize its seat tally in the forthcoming elections, ensuring a robust coalition to face the electoral challenges of 2024.
