During a recent rally in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that the opposition alliance, known as the INDIA bloc, would disintegrate after June 4, when the results of the Lok Sabha elections are announced. Modi’s dramatic prediction that the alliance would collapse “khata khat khata khat” underscores his confidence in the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prospects in the ongoing elections.

Clearly targetted congress

Modi’s remarks were part of a broader critique of the opposition, particularly targeting the Congress party. He accused them of planning to reverse significant decisions made by his government, such as the abrogation of Article 370, the introduction of the Citizenship Amendment Act, and the banning of instant triple talaq. Modi alleged that the Congress aims to undo these measures if they come to power, framing the opposition’s agenda as “mission cancel”

Prioritizing specific community?

The Prime Minister also attacked the Congress over allegations of appeasement politics. He claimed that the Congress and its allies were prioritizing specific community interests over national development and security. Modi highlighted his government’s achievements, such as providing housing to millions of poor families, expanding banking access, and ensuring free medical treatment and rations for the underprivileged.

Bjp has a planned strategy

Furthermore, Modi emphasized that his administration had focused on inclusive development and national integrity, contrasting this with what he described as the opposition’s divisive tactics. His statements in Pratapgarh echo a broader strategy aimed at consolidating voter support by portraying the BJP as a stable and development-oriented alternative to the fragmented and allegedly regressive opposition bloc

These remarks come at a critical juncture in the election season, as political parties ramp up their campaigns ahead of the final voting phases. Modi’s rhetoric aims to galvanize his base and sway undecided voters by framing the choice as one between continued progress under the BJP and a chaotic reversal of gains under the opposition.
