1. The Culcutta High Court allowed the fact finding team from New Delhi to visit Sandeshkhali. Justice Kaushik Chanda has ordered that the team can visit Sandeshkhali on 3rd March but asked them not to go places where section 144 is imposed.

3. Restoration of Old Pension Scheme: Govt. employees to go on indefinite strike from 01 May. The steering committee of the platform, the Joint Forum For Restoration of Old Pension Scheme (JFROPS) has unanimously decided to serve strike notices on March 19 to respective administrations.
4. A man who worked at an Army canteen in Rajasthan’s Bikaner has been arrested for allegedly leaking sensitive information to a Pakistani agent. The Rajasthan Police, in collaboration with Military Intelligence, caught Vikram Singh on charges of spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
5. The government Wednesday banned two factions of the Muslim Conference Jammu and Kashmir for five years for their anti-India and pro-Pakistan propaganda, and asking people to refrain from taking part in elections.
The government has declared the Muslim Conference Jammu & Kashmir (Sumji faction) and Muslim Conference Jammu & Kashmir (Bhat faction) as Unlawful Associations.
The ban on the Jamaat-e-Islami, Jammu Kashmir, has been extended by another five years for continuing activities that pose a threat to the security of the nation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Tuesday.

1. Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation have launched a bold initiative, Vantara (Star of the Forest), dedicated to the rescue, treatment, care, and rehabilitation of animals in need. This ambitious program is spearheaded by Anant Ambani. Vantara core lies in a sprawling 3,000-acre sanctuary within the Green Belt of Reliance Jamnagar Refinery Complex in Gujarat.

1.Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is preparing the first two units of the improved TEJAS MK-1A for delivery to the Indian Air Force (IAF) in March. HAL was awarded the contract to produce 83 TEJAS MK-1A (including 73 single-seat and 10 two-seat trainers) aircraft in January 2021. As per the contract, HAL was originally scheduled to deliver the first single-seat aircraft in February, with a total of three MK-1As to be delivered in 2024.
2.The 5th edition of Joint Military Exercise ‘DHARMA GUARDIAN’ between the Indian Army and the Japan Ground Self Defence Force commenced today at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan. The Exercise is scheduled to be conducted from 25th February to 9th March 2024.
Exercise ‘DHARMA GUARDIAN’ is an annual exercise and conducted alternatively in India and Japan. The contingent of both sides comprises of 40 personnel each.
3.The sea phase of MILAN-2024 concluded on February 27 (Tuesday). This edition of MILAN witnessed the participation of 35 units, including ships, submarines and aircraft.
About 13 ships and one aircraft from Friendly Foreign Countries participated in the sea phase. Indian Navy’s participation included both the aircraft carriers INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant, the indigenous aircraft carrier.
4. Indian Coast Guard (ICG) ships Samarth and Abhinav have arrived in Galle, Sri Lanka, following the completion of Exercise Dosti in Male. The visit aims to strengthen training and professional engagement with the Sri Lankan Coast Guard, enhancing interoperability and camaraderie between the two forces.
5. INDIA GETS ITS SECOND SPACE PORT, ROCKET STARTUPS EXCITED :. ISRO says the new site will be ready in another two years time and will cost a little under ₹1000 crores. Recently PM Modi lays the foundation stone for the country’s second launch site in Kulasekharapatnam, located in the Tuticorin district of Tamil Nadu. Until now, the country had a single spaceport Satish Dhawan Space Center situated at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. India has conducted 95 launches from Sriharikota to date, with 80 of them deemed successful.
PM Modi who arrived in Kerala on Tuesday reviewed the progress on the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram.
6. Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane and German Ministry of Defence State Secretary Benedikt Zimmer chaired the India-Germany High Defence Committee (HDC) meeting in Berlin on Tuesday. The two sides discussed a range of bilateral security and defence issues.

Taking up a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by the Ex-Services Grievances Cell in Mohali, a Division Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice GS Sandhawalia and Justice Lapita Banerji has, in its order of February 26, sought a response from the central government on the issue.
9. French Army chief General Pierre Schill, who has arrived in India on Tuesday, witnessed the firepower demonstration of the indigenously developed and manufactured Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher on Wednesday at the Pokhran Field Firing Range in Rajasthan.
India aims to boost its presence in the global defence market by exporting platforms like Tejas aircraft, BrahMos missiles, and Pinaka systems. India’s defence production is projected to reach Rs 3 lakh crore.
