1. On February 23rd 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 9th edition of prestigious Raisina Dialogue conference in New Delhi focused on key global issues, in presence of Greece Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis as chief guest.

Annual Raisina Dialogue jointly organized by Indian Ministry of External Affairs and independent think tank Observer Research Foundation has emerged as India’s most high-profile geopolitics and geo-economics forum since launch in 2016.

2. PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the foundation stone laying ceremony for 550 Amrit Bharat stations on February 26. The initiative aims to improve railway station facilities by developing rooftop plazas and city centers, with an investment of Rs 40,000 crore. Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay foundation stones for about 1,500 road overbridges and underbridges across different states.

1. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday said National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has been asked to examine the possibility of it becoming a third party application provider for continued UPI operations of the Paytm app.

The central bank has barred Paytm Payments Bank from accepting further credits into its customer accounts and wallets after March 15.

1. DRDO is procuring six composite Radomes for the Naval Anti-ship Missile-Medium range (NASM-MR) missile from an Indian defence firm. The Radome is made from an E-glass reinforcement and epoxy matrix monocoque structure.

2. A frontline fighter squadron operating the Su-30 aircraft based in Punjab is among the four IAF units, including another fighter outfit, that would be presented the President’s Standards and President’s Colours.

The Standards will be conferred on No. 221 Squadron based at Halwara and No. 45 Squadron based at Salur, while the Colours will be awarded to No. 11 Base Repair Depot located at Nasik and 509 Signals Unit, by President Draupadi Murmu at the Hindon Airbase on 8 March.

3. The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has approved the acquisition of over 200 BrahMos Extended Range (ER) supersonic cruise missiles for deployment on Indian Navy warships. The deal, valued at ₹19,000 crore, signifies a significant step towards bolstering India’s naval capabilities.
